(BACHELOR IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION)
The specific objectives of BBA program are to:
- Prepare students to take up middle level managerial positions in the
business sector.
- Develop students’ skill in object-oriented business management
making them capable of understanding and solving practical business
problems creatively.
- Provide professional management education with a blend of computer
and management information courses.
- Prepare students to proceed onto postgraduate level of study in
business administration.

The BBA Program comprises of the following four course
components:

Eligibility for Admissions
Successfully completed a twelve-year schooling or its
equivalent from any university or institution recognized by
Tribhuvan University.
Secured at least a second division in the 10+2, PCL or equivalent
program.
Compiled with all application procedures.
Admission Criteria
Written Test
Applicants are required to appear in the entrance test
conducted by the Faculty of Management. Students must
secure a minimum of 40% in the entrance test in order to
qualify for interview. The test will follow the standard testing
patterns and may include areas like verbal ability, quantitative
ability, logical reasoning and general awareness.
Interview
Only short- listed candidates from the written test will be
interviewed and selected for admission.
Teaching Methodology
The general teaching methodology will include class lectures,
group discussions, case studies, practical exercises, laboratory
work, project work, term papers and internship.
Class Hours
The Classes for BBA will run from 10:45 am to 4:15 pm, Sunday
to Friday.
Examination, Evaluation & Grading System
The BBA program will be executed through the semester
system. The regular program shall be completed in eight
semesters. The internal (ongoing) evaluation and the external
(end of semesters) examination shall carry 40% and 60%
weightage respectively. The 60% of external assessment will
be theory only except for the Computer & IT related subjects
where this 60% will be divided further into 40% theory and
20% practical.
The semester examinations shall be conducted by FOM. The
final grade shall be determined on the overall performance in
the internal and external examinations.
Passing Grade and Grading System
Students must secure a minimum of grade ‘C’ or Grade
Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 in the internal evaluation in
order to qualify to appear in the semester examination.
In order to pass the semester examination the student
must secure a minimum of Grade ‘C’ or the Cumulative
Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0. Students who secure
a Semester Grade of ‘D” will not be promoted to the
next semester.

The BBA program is divided into
8 semesters covering 120 credit
hours. Students get to choose
their specialization in the 7 th and
8th semester. Specializations are
offered in Banking and Finance,
Management Information
System, Travel and Tourism
Management and Industrial
Management.
The BBA Program is specially
designed to help students
to take up middle level
managerial positions right
after their graduation. For this
reason students are required
to do various project work,
assignments and presentations
throughout the course and an
internship in their 8th semester
carrying 6 credit hours.
