Message from Principal
"Karmanyewashikaraste ma phaleshu kadachana" is Krishna's message. When Arjuna was about to give up fighting against his own relations, Krishna impressed him with thi sidea that he had power over his 'karma' or duty only. However, he had no control over its result. In addition, as a Kshatriya his job was to give a befitting fight in the battlefield not to run away from it.
In "The Idea of a University," Michael J. Oakeshott (Professor of Political Science, London School of economics) writes "…it (University) is a place where he (the students) has opportunity of education in conversation with his teachers, his fellow and himself, and where he is not encouraged to confuse education with training for a profession, with learning the tricks of a trade, with preparation for future particular service in society or with the acquisition of kind of moral and intellectual outfit to see him through life."
The first illustration asks us not to think about result while doing our duty while the second asks us to pursue our study for the sake of knowledge not for it's use. Both demand a sort of detachment. One seems to propagate work for work sake while another propagates education for education sake. However, in the present day world, we have started questioning these dictums. We work to gain benefit and study to get job. In this scenario, the importance of an institution which can provide value added education becomes very important. And at K&K we endeavor to provide courses that not only provide tricks of the trade to students but also prepare them to find suitable place in the society.
At K&K the new management committee has regrouped the courses in such a way that our students will get maximum benefit out of them. We feel that the courses should fulfill the present need of the society and accordingly the students should choose courses form the proposed group. The logic behind all these courses will be explained along with the offered courses in our prospectus.
In addition to the Academic Courses, we are also planning to introduce basic computer courses for all our students and basic banking and finance courses for management students. We plan ot give you the best and hope to expect your support in this endeavor or ours.
Thank you all, the parents as well as the students who have shown faith in us.
